The role of herbage in sufficientutilization of resources,solution of food shortage, increase in soil fertility and improvement of ecological environment were disscussed after studying themain productive model of prataculture in Guangdong Province.Thereby the sig- nificance of prataculture in sustainable developmentwas analyzed.
