宋明“贞节”观新解

中国自古就是一个礼仪之邦,礼的起源很早,但史书对于妇女尊从礼制的记载却从宋明时期才开始兴盛起来,尤其是明代对"贞节"观的强调达到了极致,笔者以为这恰恰从多方面反映出社会的进步,对此问题应该有一个全新的认识。

China is usually called as the etiquette nation. The etiquette originated quite early, but the historical records of women abiding by etiquette began to appear in Song and Ming Dynasty, especially in Ming Dynasty. The author believes that they reflected the progress of society from many aspects.
