摘要
二十世纪元小说在后现代主义的影响下,其定义和内涵有了更深刻的解释,占据六七十年代的主导地位。元小说的主要特征是揭示小说与现实之间的关系,它坚信语言所塑造的现实是不可信的。元小说作家通过在文本中有意地暴露创作的痕迹,实现对虚构世界的自我揭露。安·贝蒂的短篇小说《女工》是一篇具有明显后现代元小说特点的创作,它充分展现了元小说的上述特点,将小说的虚构性揭露给读者,通过框架分析原则,表达贝蒂的艺术创作思想,也体现了后现代时期人们的焦虑心理。
With the influence of postmodernism,the Metafiction gets more profound and deeper definition and plays a major role in the literary of 1960s and 1970s.The metafiction intends to reveal the difference between novels and reality,insisting that all facts put in words are unbelievable.The metafictional writers do the self-revealing through presenting intentionally the process of writing in the text.Working Girl,one of Ann Beattie's stories,is a complete reflection of metafiction through self-revealing fabrication and the principle of frame analysis.The story conveys not only Beattie's creating ideas but also the psychological problems of postmodern people.
