摘要 随着"北京奥运会"、上海"世博会"等世界级的大会在中国召开,英语教育越来越被强调和重视。同时,英语教育"费时低效"成为热议的话题,大学英语四、六级考试也备受责难,人们纷纷把问题的矛头指向英语教育。从英语教育内容和方法等方面分析,英语教育教学内容片面、教学方法落后、课程结构不合理、教师素质有待提高等这些因素制约了我国英语教育的发展。应采取增加人文类教学内容、改革教学方法、优化课程结构、加强教师培训、提高学生的自主学习能力等相应措施,以提高我国英语教学效率。 In recent decades,English education has been attracting more and more attention in China.Meanwhile,it has received a lot of criticism for its deficiency.By analyzing the current situation of China's English education,the writer of this article comes to the conclusion that the one-sided teaching content,backward teaching methods,unreasonable curriculum structure and yet-to-be-promoted quality of teachers are among the factors that restrict the development of China's English education.In view of these factors,the writer of this article proposes some countermeasures such as adding humanity teaching to the content,reforming teaching methods,optimizing curriculum structure,strengthening teachers' training,and improving students' autonomous learning ability,so as to enhance the efficiency of English teaching in China.
