摘要
本文简要介绍了与移动性有关的第三代移动通信系统的网络特征; 通过在IMT- 2000 功能模型的相关功能实体中引入移动性管理模块,分析了无线网络控制器的移动性管理功能, 并给出了具体的实现方案。
Due to the specific network features of the 3rd generation mobile telecommunication systems, the mobility management function, which is one of the most important functions within the mobile telecommunication systems, should be different from the 2nd generation systems. This paper introduces in brief the mobility related network features of the 3rd generation mobile telecommunication systems, and analyzes the mobility management function of RNC by adding the mobility management modules onto the functional entities in the functional model of IMT 2000. The functions and realization scenarios of RNC about location management and handoff/Macro diversity control are also presented respectively.
