The most recent data （released in February） from Beijing＇s Civil Affairs Bureau indicated, in 2011, that local residents＇ average age of first marriage was 27 years. The statistics also indicated that 32,999 Beijing couples were divorced last year. It ranked 24th among Chinese cities in terms of the number of divorces.
