摘要
英语中有越来越多的新词是基于错误类比产生的,因此有必要去探究这种错误类比构词的理据。研究发现,语言模因不仅可以在词、句、篇层面上模仿复制,也可以在更低一级的层面即粘着词素层面复制传播。错误类比创造新词语的方法像思维病毒一样得到复制,催生了越来越多的新词。语言模因在进化过程中被复制的是历经变化和选择后的信息。
With the ever-increasing English neologisms coined by false analogy, it is necessary for us to probe into the motivation for those coinages. We conclude that language memes can not only be imitated at the word, or sentence or text level, but also can be copied at a lower level-bound morphemes. The way of coining neologisms can be compared to virus of the mind which can give rise to more and more new coinages. Language rnemes imitated in the evolutionary process are information copied with variation and selection.
