摘要
多气隙电阻板室(MRPC)是一种新型气体探测器,结构简单,成本低廉,并且具有良好的时间分辨率和探测效率。介绍了MRPC的结构与工作原理,分析了电极板材料表面粗糙度、体积电阻率和耐酸性等性能的研究现状,阐述了半导体玻璃和陶瓷材料在高计数率MRPC中的应用,介绍了北京玻璃研究院用半导体玻璃制作的MRPC束流测试结果。最后指出了高计数率MRPC用电极板材料的研究方向。
Multi-Gap Resistive Plate Chamber (MRPC) is a new type of gaseous detectors made with a combination of resistive plates. Such detector with simple structure possesses good time resolution, a high detection efficiency and a relative low cost. Structure and operation principle of MRPC are introduced. Research progress on the surface roughness, the volume resistivity and the hydrofluoric acid durability of electrode panel materials is analyzed. The applications of semi conductor glasses and ceramic materials in MRPC with high counting rates are described. Beam test results of MRPC prototypes with semiconductor glass developed in Beijing Glass Research Institute (BGRI) are presented. Future prospects of electrode panel materials for MRPC with high counting rates are also proposed.
