丙二醇甲醚丙酸酯是涂料用无毒P系列溶剂中的一员,它既保持了E系列溶剂的优良溶解性,又克服了E系列溶剂的毒性。除了可用作涂料稀释剂外,它还可用作合成树脂用原料、油墨用溶剂、电子清洗剂及化妆品用溶剂。
Propylene glycol monomethyl ether propionate (PMP) is one of the nontoxic P series solvents used in coating. PMP keeps the good solubility of E series and overcomes E series' toxicity. Additionally, it is used as a material of synthetic resin, solvent in ink, cleaning agent in electronics and solvent in cosmetics in addition to as thinner of coating.
