一部《伊凡吉琳》传奇长诗是《孟姜女》千年之后在异国的姊妹篇。这两部传奇故事共同打造了适合东西方读者期待视野的主题:千里寻夫。两者在主题、情境上有很多一致性,同时两者在相同的表象中又有很多实质性的差别:两国人民的文化、心理、宗教、哲学的差别,本文试图在此方面做详细的探究。

Evangeline is an exotic companion of Meng Jiangnu after millennium in the United States.The two stories together create a suitable theme for both Western and Eastern readers： looking for a husband here and there.The paper argues that they seem to have a lot of similarities both in theme and situation.However,there still exist many substantive differences in culture,psychology,religion and philosophy.This article attempts to do a detailed research about them.
