This paper is a summary and reflection of the developments of semiotics.It claims that the significance of semiotics' existence lies in the connections between verbal and non-verbal signs and their contexts.In order to explore the nature of meaning production and sign interpretation,semiotics should keep track of finding similarities beyond superficial differences in communication.
