Multimodal Semiotic Resources and Their Media System

本文探讨符号资源及其媒体系统的类别,分别讨论了:1)符号系统的特点;2)符号系统的物质特性以及物质的模态化过程;3)媒体和模态的关系以及具有不同层次的符号的媒体特征;4)符号的媒体系统的特点,主要包括文字、图形、音系的系统特点;5)符号媒体的分类;6)社会交际的多模态性与媒体类别的关系。

The present article investigates the semiotic resources and the typology of media.It first studies the characteristics of the semiotic systems,secondly the materiality of the semiotic system and the process of modalization,and thirdly,the relation between media and modes,and the characteristics of the media of semiotic systems with different levels.Fourthly,it expounds the characteristics of the medium systems of the semiotic systems,especially those of writing,images and music,and fifthly,it investigates the typology of the media of the semiotic systems.Finally,it briefly shows the relation between the multimodal nature of social interaction and the types of the media.
