“门”族词的转喻认知及信息凸显 被引量:2

Metonymy Cognition and Salience of "-gate" Words

摘要 在当今各种媒体上,均出现了"门"族词语"繁殖"现象,并呈现有增无减势头。从认知语言学的角度,从认知语言学的角度来看,这是一种转喻现象。本文运用英汉语料,从转喻的认知机制和过程来诠释和论证这一现象,以探索"门"族词的形成和发展。本文同时也探索性地提出了"门"族词转喻认知过程中的三个要素假说,并不主张其凸显的单一性,而主张其凸显的不确定性和复合性,这是对于典型理论的发展和案例性的论证。 Expressions with "men"(l'7, "-gate") are found in almost all written media such as news releases, websites, as well as academic writings The phenomenon is more than popular but in a way of being proliferation and abusing. In the perspective of cognitive linguistics, the paper regards it as a metonymic phenomenon. Based on corpus of both Chinese and English, the paper tries to explore the formation and development of the metonymic phenomenon. It also explains the process of the metonymic principles. The paper hypothesizes that there are three elements in the metonymic process, and illustrates the complexity and flexibility of the salience among the three elements. It relates the discussion with the development of prototype theory.
