Significance of Reinforcing Education of Local Culture for College Students:From the Perspective of Intercultural Communication

在全球化的今天,外语教育中需要加强本土文化教育,培养学生的文化平等意识。很多学生在学习英语的过程中忽视了母语和本土文化对跨文化交际的影响。英语教学不单单要培养能够引进国外文化知识和先进技术的人才,而且也要培养向世界输出中国优秀文化的跨文化交际人才。学生在英语学习的过程中要加强本土文化的修养,这对增强中国的文化软实力将大有裨益。

In the present globalized world,the education of local cultural should be reinforced in foreign language teaching,with an aim to cultivate students＇ awareness of cultural equality.When learning English,many students have overlooked the impact of their native language and local culture on intercultural communication.English teaching involves not only training talents who can introduce foreign culture and advanced technology into China,but also fostering talents who can shoulder the responsibility of exporting the Chinese culture to the outside world.Therefore,it will be of great benefit for enhancing China＇s cultural soft power if students strengthen study of local culture in English learning.
