A Cultural Analysis of Lu Xun's View on Literary Translation

鲁迅一生译作颇丰。他提出的"硬译"主张在我国文坛曾引发过极大的争议。今天在新的时代语境下,从文化的视角重新评估鲁迅的翻译观及其译文,可以发现"宁信而不顺""欧化"所蕴含的深邃的文化观和极高的译学价值。鲁迅的翻译思想至今仍启迪着翻译研究与实践,对中国现代文化的构建,对中外文化交流,仍然具有深刻的现实意义。

Lu Xun was a great translator. However,his view on literary translation aroused controversy in Chinese literary circles in the 1930s. Today,a re-study of Lu Xun’s translation theory from the cultural perspective could offer us a deeper understanding of his thinking and underlying reasons for his literal translation. It is of great significance for intercultural communication as well as current translation studies.
