“一‘是’到底”行不通——评王路教授的新著《读不懂的西方哲学》

本文对王路教授的新著《读不懂的西方哲学》进行了评价。文章指出:王路教授的新书坚持了他在"是"的问题上的一贯立场和基本论点,在文本研究方面有新的增强,通过对所选的具体文本的分析,他把一般理论层面的讨论转化为具体语境中相关语词、语句、段落的解读,并以此基础,提出了对整个西方哲学的一种理解。但是本文认为,王路教授在这本新书中并没有实现他的预定目标,他的"一‘是’到底"的译名主张是无法做到的。

This is a commentary on Professor Wang Lu's How to Understand Western Philosophy.In this book,Professor Wang Lu follows his usual approach to 'shi' though with some textual analysis he shifts his analysis from the general theoretic discussion to the understanding of words,sentences and paragraphs in the concrete contexts.With this,he proposes his understanding of the whole of Western philosophy.The author of this paper concludes that Professor Wang Lu fails to realize his goal because it is impossible to translate 'Being' in all cases into the Chinese word 'shi':
