摘要
地理信息系统需要管理两类信息：一类是反映事物地理位置的空间数据；一类是反映事物相关特征的属性数据。着重描述空间数据的特性并给出一种不同于结构化查询语言（ＳＱＬ）的专门用于操纵空间数据的空间查询语言，以此分析地理信息系统强大的空间分析能力。
GIs needs to manage two types of information: one is spatial data which renects entity'S geographic location, the other is altributed data which reflects entity's related feature. This paper will describe the particularity of the former. and gives a specific kind of Spatial Query Language that manipulates it and differs from Structured Query Language. Furthermore, the powerful spatial analysis of GIS will be analyzed.
