Providing pharmaceutical care entails accepting responsibility for patients＇ pharmacotherapeutic outcomes. Pharmacists can contribute to positive outcomes by working in the healthcare team. Even though, patient＇ s education and counseling has been encountering challenges internationally. The purpose of this paper is to review the proceedings and prospects of patient education and counseling, meanwhile help pharmacists provide effective patient education and counseling with proper contents by using practical skills.
