According to the project condition of a third-grade highway in Shennongjia forest region, the asphalt rubber covering technology was applied in the pavement project. The old pavement treatment, mix proportion design, construction technology, quality control were all described in detail. The practice shows that the thickness of pavement surface is thinned by the asphalt rubber technology, which can save cost, improve pavement performance, and have good economic and environmental benefits
