Sino-Western Differences in the Concept of Hero

中西方英雄观由于理念的差异有着很大不同,中国式英雄观注重完美倾向、英雄的道德质量、英雄的悲剧情结,在塑造上有官方化、拔高和神化的倾向以及去个性化特征;而西方式英雄观则具备人性化、平民化特征,注重生命权,英雄的独立性和个性化色彩浓厚,民间化、精神化倾向明显。

Because of the different philosophical ideas, Chinese and Western concept of hero differ greatly. The former, with official models, personal deification, and common characteristics, lays emphasis on the tendency of perfection, the qualification of morality and the complex of tragedy while the latter, with humanization, popularization and spiritualization, attaches impor- tance to the fight of life, the independency of a hero, and the individuafion of a hero.
