Some Different Opinions about Eastern Zhou Tombs at Fenshuiling

《长治分水岭东周墓地》发掘报告将分水岭墓地分作五期,时代从春秋中期至战国一代,并认为其间"有明显的缺环",第一期"为晋国墓葬……,第二、三期为赵国墓葬,第四、五期为韩国墓葬";其考古学文化"战国以前为晋文化地方类型,战国以降为典型的赵文化,后来尽管有韩人活动,但就其文化面貌来说,并不会有变化"。本文对此有不同看法,认为分水岭东周墓地是一个连续使用无间断的三晋韩氏墓地。

According to ＂Eastern Zhou Cemetery at Fenshuiling of Changzhi＂, an excavation report published in 2010, the tombs at Fenshuiling date to the mid Spring and Autumn to the Warring States period and are divided to five unconnected phases; the first phase ＂belongs to the Jin state, the second and third to the Zhao and the fourth and fifth to the Han＂ ; the archaeological culture ＂is Jin culture in pre-Warring-States period and is typical Zhao culture since the Warring States, despite the activities of the Han people＂. The current authors hold different opinions. It is believed that these tombs belong to the Han clan of the Jin sate and were in continuous use.
