用中国戏曲的表演形式演出外国戏剧，特别是莎士比亚戏剧，是中西文化交流的需要，也是戏曲的革命和进步。运用京剧的形式演出莎士比业戏剧《温莎的风流娘儿们》既是一次理论上的探索，也是一次大胆的戏剧改编实验。实践证明，莎剧是可以采用京剧和中国戏曲的方式在中国舞台上赢得观众和莎学专家赞扬的。用中国戏曲的歌舞演故事，丰富了莎剧的呈现方式。
Using Chinese opera to perform foreign drama, especially of Shakespeare＇s dramas is the need for exchange between Chinese and western cultures, and also the innovation and progress of drama. The performance of Beijing Opera in Shakespeare＇s drama The Merry Wives of Windsor is not only a theoretical exploration, but also a bold trial of adapting drama. Practice has proved that Shakespeare＇s drama can adopt the performance of Peking Opera and Chinese opera on the stage and earn the praise of Chinese audience and experts on Shakespeare. Therefore, to adopt unique performance of Chinese operas can enrich the presentation of Shakespeare＇s dramas.
