中外记者招待会中委婉语的语境顺应性研究

Contextual Adaptation of Euphemism： A Case Study on the English Interpretation of Press Conference

委婉语使用的普遍性使很多语言学者对其进行了研究，但是对委婉语在具体领域如记者招待会场合下运用的研究甚少。由于新闻发布会场合下委婉语使用的重要性，以顺应论为理论框架，分析中外记者招待会中发言人使用委婉语应顺应的语境因素及顺应过程，从而使人们对外交委婉语及新闻发布会这种特定场合有更深刻的理解。

Studies on euphemism have always been flourishing because of its universality, but researches on euphemism used in a specific field like the press conference turn out to be lack of due attention. Based upon Adaptation Theory, the thesis attempts to conduct a qualitative research on the contextual adaptation of euphemism used in the English interpretation of press conference with specific examples. The research purpose is to analyze the elements and process of contextual adaptation in the course of using diplomatic euphemism, thus favoring people to have a better understanding of diplomatic euphemism and the press conference.
