本文在分析高职机械设计课程传统教学存在不足的基础上，论述了在机械设计课程教学中改进教学方法、调整教学体系的必要性和可行性，结合具体实例提出了教学改革的重点在调整教学内容、改进教学方法和手段的、突出专科特色、处理好传统设计与现代设计的关系以及理论与实践相衔接等建议。
