摘要
本文对英语中三个常见构式——表极性程度的动结构式、TIME-away构式和Way构式进行了分析。研究发现:作为认知能力之一的概念转喻,以不同的形态作用于语言结构,是语言中现存的一些构式的必要识解机制,是它们形成的动因之一,并为一些构式间的继承关系提供了解释。构式作为形义匹配的语言单位,是语言系统与认知能力在一定社会文化情境下互动的产物。
By analyzing three common constructions in English—sultative Construction denoting intensity,TIME-away Construction and Way Construction,this study discovers that metonymy,as a strong motivation behind their formations,works on different language structures with different configurations of metonymic chains,serving as a necessary cognitive mechanism in the interpretations of some constructions and offering an explanation for inheritance links as inter-construction relations.As pairings of form and meaning,constructions are products of interactions between language system and human's cognition under certain social and cultural context.
