摘要
商代甲骨文中的新星记录，人为学者所重视，但近年有学者加以怀疑。１９９７年新出现的一组西周早期青铜器的铭文，证明甲骨文品确系“星”字，象群星之形。不过，甲骨文并非“设”字，而应释“凿”，读为“兆”，指自然异象，因此“新星”实系天象无疑。
The Nova records in Shang oracle-bone inscriptions have been studied for many years,but some recent articles doubt whether they are really astronomical or not. The inscriptions on a set of early Western Zhou bronzes found in 1997 can confirm that the character is just 星,the star. Meanwhile the character is not 设but 凿and should be read as 兆 which means omen or astrological phenomena. Since 新星 is a sort of 兆,it must be a celestial phenomenon.
