素质教育目标下的设计教学应围绕着设计意识教育、设计观念教育、设计审美教育、设计创造教育、设计技术教育的目标展开 ,以设计素质与创造型人才素质的统一来确定教育目标 ,并以创造教育为主线 ,由此使设计教学转移到素质教育的轨道 ,以建构 2 1世纪设计教育新模式。

The Teaching of artistic designing with the aim of quality education should focus on the education of the mentality, standards, creativeness, and techniques of designing. The aim of education should accord with the students' ability of designing and their quality of creativeness. With the cultivation of creativeness as the mainstay, the teaching of designing should be oriented to quality education so as to set the new model of designing education in the new century.
