摘要
测量了80K 下氨吸附在金、钽、镱的表面引起的功函数的改变.结果表明,氨的吸附会引起功函数的减小.当铯(或钠)淀积在固体氨上时,其功函数变得此铯(或钠)本身还要低.更为有趣的是经过一层接一层的交替淀积可溶于氨的金属(如铯、钠、钝),可得到最小功函数0.9(±0.1)eV.其值与金属本身和所用的衬底无关.本文对上述实验现象连行了解释,并用“大极化子理论”,估算了极化频率和耦合常数.
The work function changes for ammonia absorbed on Au,Ta and Yb have
been measured at 80 K.With a layer of Cs deposited on the top of solid
ammonia the work function became lower than that of Cs.By co-deposition
of M(M=Cs,Na,Yb)with ammonia a minimum work function of 0.9(±0.1)
eV was obtained which is independent on the feature of the metals as well as
the substrate.The theoretical solution of “large polaron” was used to calculate
the frequency of the polarization field and the coupling constant.
