方志的核心价值是资政。古方志是方国之志,是王国统治方国政治文化的需要。方志是介于政治与文化之间的政治文化现象。新方志必须体现社会主义核心价值,坚持正确的政治文化方向,坚持马克思主义历史观,弘扬爱国主义和时代精神,树立社会主义荣辱观,坚持文化"二为"方向和"双百"方针,方志工作应加强公益性文化建设,建立健全方志文化传承体系。既要坚持政治文化方向,又不能将非政治问题"政治化",要正确处理政治文化与泛政治化矛盾,规范化编纂志书。

The core value of local records is as a reference for policy-making.Old local records are records to keep places in the country in order,and a way to meet the demands of political culture for the kingdom to govern different places.Local records are a political cultural phenomenon between politics and culture.New local records must reflect the core values of socialism,stick to the correct direction of political culture,stick to the historical views of Marxism,uphold patriotism and spirits of the age,set up the socialist views on glory and disgrace,stick to the 'two fors' direction and 'twin hundreds' guiding principles of culture,integrate local records work into the construction of the cultural cause for public goods,set up and prefect the inheritance system of local records culture.One must stick to the right direction of political culture,while at the same time not to 'politicize' non-political matters,dealing correctly with the contradiction between political culture and pan-politicization in an effort to standardize the compilation of local records.
