清末民初《东方杂志》中英西藏交涉重点报道初探

News Reports in the Eastern Magazine on Negotiations about Tibet between China and the UK during Late Qing and Early Republic of China Period

本文以清末民初《东方杂志》关于中英西藏交涉的新闻报道为研究对象,运用质性研究中的历史分析以及文献分析的方法,分析近代报刊对于时局和公共话语空间的影响,力求进一步还原中英西藏交涉问题的历史真相。研究表明,在内外交困、危机重重的清末民初,《东方杂志》适时发挥了传播信息、监察时局、开启民智和引导舆论的重要作用。从新闻报道视角和史学分析角度,全面梳理和深入研究清末民初《东方杂志》中英西藏交涉重点报道,无疑为百年中英西藏交涉史研究开辟新的视角,不仅具有一定的历史价值,而且还有一定的现实意义。

The paper focuses on news reports contained in the Eastern Magazine involving the negotiations about Tibet between China and the UK.Based on historical and documentary analysis,it studies the influence of modern newspapers and periodicals on the public discourse sphere and political situation in order to restore the true history of Tibet.The research shows that during Late Qing and Early Republic of China,the magazine fulfilled well the functions of spreading information,supervising the political situation,enlightening the people's wisdom and guiding the public opinion.The author believes that this study can provide a new perspective for the historical study of the negotiations about Tibet between China and the UK during Late Qing and Early Repliblic of China period.
