Electromagnetic force-balance sensor functions on the principle of the balance between electromagnetic force and the load.Featuring complex structure and high precision,it is usually used on high-precision electronic balance.The gap between the coil and magnet steel is very narrow for the reason of the material and structure adopted by the electromagnetic force-balance sensor.It will run into many kinds of faults due to improper operation or component damage.This paper introduces the operating principle of electromagnetic force-balance sensor and electronic balance,analyzes the reason for having the error code ＂ERR—54＂ and demonstrates the repair process as well as how to calibrate the instruments after repair.
