行政区域界线是国家基础地理信息的重要组成部分。应用勘界工作中形成的成果资料 ,开发行政区域界线信息管理系统 ,不仅对行政区域界线管理工作有重要的意义 ,而且对我国“数字地球”的建设也有一定的推动作用。

Administrative border is one of the most important constituent parts of the national basic geography information. The application of the fruits of the demarcation and the development of the Administrative Border Information Management System (ABIMS) not only are significant for the administrative border management, but also can greatly propel the construction of the Chinese Digital Earth.
