摘要
《大学》者,大人之学。儒家认为,要做一个堂堂正正的人,就需要"知止而后有定,定而后能静,静而后能安,安而后能虑,虑而后能得"的修身过程,最终达到"止于至善"的目标。"止、定、静、安、虑、得"六个修证的层次与佛道思想多有交集,但也有不同,需要辨析清楚。
The Great Learning is a learning for great people.Being dignified and imposing needs to go through the self-cultivation process of "the point where to dwell is being known,the object of pursuit is then determined;and,that being determined,a calm unperturbedness may be attained to.To that calmness there will succeed a tranquil repose.In that repose there may be careful deliberation,and that deliberation will be followed by the attainment of the desired end." Thus,the ultimated goal of "dwelling in the highest excellence" can be reached.Though the six levels of "determining,calmness,repose,deliberation and attainment" have overlapping conotations with Buddhism and Taoism,there exist differences.These should be discriminated.
