A Philosophical Rethink on the Motivations of Grammatical Fuzziness

梳理了对语言模糊性根源的研究,分析了古典范畴理论在语言范畴化中的缺陷及其原因;根据罗什的"原型范畴"理论和泰勒的语法范畴理论,认为语法范畴具有模糊性;根据维特根斯坦的"语言游戏说"提出语法范畴化的理论,剖析了语法范畴模糊性的哲学理据。

This author begins with a brief summary of the prior study on the origins of linguistic fuzziness,and discusses the defects of classical categorization theory in the application of linguistic categorization;and then he suggests that grammatical categories are fuzzy in light of Rosch＇s Prototype Theory and Taylor＇s grammar categorization;finally based upon Wittgenstein＇s ＂language games＂ theory,the author analyses the philosophical motivations of the grammatical fuzziness.
