With the rapid development of today＇s science and technology, only when editors are filled with passions and innovation consciousness in the work, can they become the fully developed publishing talents meeting the demand of the times. Integrating the experience of Journal of Chinese Mass Spectrometry Society, this paper states that editing passion is very important in creating characteristic columns. Editing passion is the strong motivation for editors to serve authors and readers well.
