The research and development situation of high density hydrocarbon fuels is summarized.The performance characteristics and preparation methods of high density hydrocarbon fuels including bicycle,tricycle,adamantanes,caged hydrocarbons,and so on are described in detail.The blending research situation of high density hydrocarbons which are difficult to be used alone as fuel is summarized.Their advantages and disadvantages as well as application prospects are evaluated.
