This paper reviewed the developments in pharmacy of Chinese Herbal Medicine (PCHM) during the 20th century with reading up the literature, summing up and analysing collected articals. In this century, a lot of research and practical work have greatly perfected the theory of PCHM, increased the pharmacentical dosage forms of Chinese Herbal Medicine, enlarged the application of Chinese Herbal Medicine, improved the quality of Chinese pharmacenticals, elevated the technical competence of PCHM on the whole. The developments in PCHM have lard a foundation for the modernization of Chinese Herbal Medicine during the 21th century.
