摘要
王羲之、王献之书法,各有千秋。唐之前书史对其评价比较客观。唐之后,由于唐太宗偏爱或政治需要,力推王羲之书,王羲之"书圣"地位遂立,王献之名走向衰微。王羲之《兰亭》书法,名动天下,但有些名实脱略。功力欠佳,风格近俗,相对王羲之其他作品言,应是较差的。我们对待前贤经典,要客观求实,不必人云亦云,盲目崇拜。
Calligraphic arts of WANG Xi-zhi and WANG Xian-zhi are distinguished by various qualities. Historical records before Tang dynasty evaluate them impersonally. However, because of the personal fondness of TANG-Taizong or political requirement, the calligraphy of WANG Xi-zhi was recommended strongly after Tang dynasty. While WANG Xi-zhi earned the position of the supreme calligrapher of China, however, WANG Xian-zhi lost his reputation gradually. Although the fame of WANG Xi-zhi's Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection fills the land, it doesn't deserve the name too much. Compared with other works of WANG Xi-zhi, the unsuccessful competence and stereotypical style is relatively poor. We should treat the classics of former worthies objectively but not get conformed or blinded.
