This paper discusses the quantity discount the possibility of the existence of the supply chain and the necessity,and show that：independent decision-making is not the optimal decision for the parties to the supply chain,joint decisions can improve the system of profits,reduce transaction cost,quantity discount is able to realize the joint decision of an effective supply chain contract.
