Aside from meeting overseas clients, exhibitors at the l llth Canton Fair, China＇s biggest export fair which kickedoff on April 15 in southeast China＇s Guangdong Province, were also conceimed with the new move in the yuan-dollar raiding band. On April 16, the People＇s Bank of China, the central bank, widened the trading band for the yuan against the U.S. dollar to 1 percent from 0.5 percent.
