In his article entitled ＂China＇s Diplomacy in 2011＂ that was specially contributed to this issue, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi elaborated on China＇s diplomatic work in 2011 and envisioned the diplomatic work in 2012 as well. He commented that throughout the year, ＂we focusedon facilitating a good beginning in implementing the 12th Five-Year Plan, made all-round progress in the overall layout of diplomatic work, met various challenges properly, and played an active part in guiding reform of the international system.＂ And he summed up the progress of China＇s diplomacy in 2011 in six dimensions.
