Ever since the founding of the People＇s Republic of China in October 1949, the country has always identified itself as a member of developing countries in the global south and taken as a cornerstone of its foreign relations strengthening tie with other developing countries, with development cooperation being a main theme. Although Africa is far away from China, the region＇s mission for development gradually made it a strategic partner of China in promoting South-South cooperation.
