从顺应论角度看《围城》中“一”字成语的翻译

Probing into the Translation of the Idioms of “yi” in the Book “Fortress Besieged” from the Perspective of the Theory of Adaptation

Jef Verschueren认为,语言的使用过程就是语言使用者不断进行选择的过程。人们在选择语言的过程中,不管有意识还是无意识,都要做出动态顺应。文章从顺应论的角度对《围城》英译本的"一"字成语的翻译进行探讨,认为译者只有顺应目标语的语言结构和语境关系才能实现成功交际的目的。研究结果表明,译者所采用的翻译策略是"异化为主,归化为辅"。

Jef Verschueren believes that the process of using language is the process of the language users＇ selecting. In the process of selecting language, whether conscious or unconscious, people will adapt to the principle of using language. Probing into the translation of the idioms of ＂yi＂ in the book ＂Fortress Besieged＂ from the perspective of the theory of adaption, we believe that only when the translators adapt to the language construction and the context relation of the target language can they realize the aim of communicating successfully. We draw the conclusion that the translation strategy used by the translators is adopting foreiguization mainly and domestication complementarily.
