在实地访谈、社会调查的基础上,对1985年以来兰州摇滚乐的发展进行了分析和梳理,认为改革开放以来的兰州摇滚乐先后经历了草创及发展时期、鼎盛时期和衰落时期。兰州地下摇滚乐队受西方乐队和本地文化等因素的影响,比较重视民族民间音乐元素的运用,其发展和存在影响着一代代年轻人,作品具有一定的原创性。同时也由于所在地区经济落后、乐队发展目标及乐队整合缺失等诸多因素的影响,兰州摇滚乐发展之路并不平坦。
