文化翻译视角下的《红楼梦》判词英译研究

A Study on English Translation of Judgments in Hong Lou Meng Viewed from Cultural Translation

文章以杨宪益夫妇译本和大卫.霍克斯译本为依据对《红楼梦》判词翻译的策略进行探讨,认为无论是选择整体性意译、局部性补译,还是选择视角转译,译者必须在各自翻译目的的基础上仔细考虑文化的影响并找到合适的翻译策略。

In this paper,the author has explored several different problems of English translation of the judgments and their corresponding cultural strategies.As the carrier of culture,Language contains rich cultural information and is restricted by the culture at the same time.The representative masterpiece of Chinese traditional culture,Hong Lou Meng,fully embodies the language characteristics of Chinese to a great extent.Therefore,in the translation of Hong Lou Meng,translators must carefully consider cultural influences and find the appropriate translation strategies based on their translation purposes.
