试析典籍诗词英译风格之保持——以苏轼《江城子》下阕为例

How to Keep the Writing Style in English Translation of Classical Poetry: Taking the Second Part of Su Shi's Jiangchengzi as an Example

从分析苏轼《江城子》下阕的用词造句的特点出发,本文提出典籍诗词英译中保持其语言的精炼及意境深远之风格的三种方法:一是尽量使用单音词代替双音词;二是用词能省则省;三是必要时使用模糊性表达。

On the basis of analyzing the features of classical poems in wording and phrasing,this essay proposes three principles of keeping the writing style in English translation of classical poetry： making use of monosyllabic words instead of two-syllable words,omitting the words that can be omitted and using vague expression when it＇s necessary.
