On the Similarities and Differences between ZHU Xi and LU Xiang-shan in Their Early and Later Years:An Investigation Based on an Analysis of Chen Jian's Systematic Differentiation of Academic Obstacles

陈建坚定于朱学立场,逐年编次辨析朱陆早晚异同之法,对历来持朱陆"早异晚同"说从佐证的时间、论证的方法及其特点等方面给予了深入地揭示和批判,是明中晚期朱陆(王)学术争辩中的重要一环。

In this book Chen Jian accused Wang Yangming et al of ＂deliberately reversing the order of ZHU＇s early and later writings,intentionally distorting ZHU Xi＇s ideas in order to make the case favorable to the school of LU,and consequently leaving the future generations with a defaced picture of lixue of the Song dynasty.＂ With this Chen Jian refuted The Evaluation of the Last Years of Master ZHU compiled by WANG Yangming.This paper first investigates Chen Jian＇s year-by-year analysis of the similarities and differences between ZHU Xi and LU Xiangshan in their early and later years in Systematic Differentiation of Academic Obstacles.The author will then propose his own analysis of this problem.
