摘要
本文展现构建中国大学生英语口语能力评分量表的全过程。首先,通过对国内外相关文献综述得出英语口语能力构成成分调查问卷,将其运用于319名高校英语教师和学生后,通过因子分析得出主要评分维度及各成分对这些维度的贡献程度,以此构成初步评分量表。然后,从全国不同地域多所院校选取472名大学生(160组)小组讨论视频,请两位经过培训的评分员根据初步评分量表进行评分。最后,对评分员评分进行回归分析,得出各维度及相应成分的权重值,以构成最终的评分量表。
This paper displays the process of constructing a rating scale of oral English proficiency for Chinese tertiary learners. First, a questionnaire of necessary components of oral English proficiency was drafted on the basis of relevant literature review. After being applied to more than 319 university teachers and students, major sub-scales and contributions of corresponding factors to each scale were found out to form the tentative scale. Then, 160 video recordings of 472 tertiary learners' group discussion were collected and rated by two trained raters according to the aforementioned scale. Last, regression analysis was carried out on the raters' ratings to figure out the weight of each subscale. Thus, the final scale is constructed.
