As an iconic figure who moved from academia to politics in the Republic of China （ROC） （1912--1949）, Weng Wenhao was committed to promoting economic construction during wartime. He was a theorist and practitioner in China＇s early stages of industrialization. Weng Wenhao＇s economic thoughts became mature while he was involved in political affairs. His thoughts covered an array of aspects such as the fundamental principles, industrialization, and operational management of economic construction. Use of Weng Wenhao＇s economic thoughts to practice served as an impetus in promoting economic development and industrialization process during the reign of ROC.
