On Zhu De's Outstanding Contributions to the United Front during the Agrarian Revolutionary War

土地革命战争时期,为了革命的现实需要,朱德凭借其在旧军队中的声望和社会关系,大力从事统战实践,并对统战实践进行反思和总结,提出中国革命只有建立以工农联盟为基础的广泛的统一战线、方能取得胜利的思想,上层统战与下层统战同时并重的思想,坚持独立自主原则的思想,坚持既联合又斗争的策略思想,为中共的统战实践和统战理论作出了杰出贡献。

During the agrarian revolutionary war,Zhu De,by virtue of his prestige and popularity in the old armies,made all his effort to practice the united front and kept summarizing what he had done in the practice.Based on the reflections and conclusions of his practice,he brought up such thoughts as follows： the thought that the Chinese revolution could succeed only by establishing a broad united front based on the alliance of the workers and peasants,the one laying equal stress on both the upper and lower stratum of the united front,the one adhering to the principle of independence and the one sticking to the strategy of alliance and struggle.All of these made prominent contributions to the practice and the theories on the united front for the Communist Party of China.
